Listings of books can be found through the Multicultural Book Review Homepage This site has multicultural book reviews for middle and high school students. Additionally, a book which I recommend as serious reading for high school students is "Rain of Gold" by Victor Villasenor. It is the story of how the author's parents had to leave their homes in Mexico and move to the USA where they met. Harder to locate, but very true to life as a story of teen life in post independence Ghana, is "The Gab Boys" by Cameron Duodo.
