The One World, Our World program has evolved since early 1988 into a not-for-profit corporation with the purpose of expanding the reach of the message as delivered by Mr. Rudy Sovinee, our primary presenter.

Mr. Sovinee is known for his presentations at national, state and regional conferences sponsored by departments of education, PTAs and RPCV Associations, including the National Peace Corps Association's 1997 Biannual Conference, the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) Annual Conferences in 1996, 1997 & 1998, several state conferences and repeat trips to both Kent State and UT El Paso's graduate programs for teacher interns. He was honored by the Governor of Maryland, from whom he received a citation. Mr. Sovinee was nominated by his peers for the National Peace Corps Association's Sargent Shriver Award which is awarded for humanitarian service since serving in the Peace Corps. In 2001, he was invited to Ireland to demonstrate for NCCA and Trocaire officials, via presentations at schools in Ireland.

Mr. Sovinee holds a BS in Chemistry from Lehigh University.  He taught and wrote a high school science dictionary in Ashanti while in the Peace Corps in Ghana, West Africa. (Full details in Marquis Who's Who in the West, 24th edition.)

Mr. Sovinee has traveled extensively in researching and developing this program, bringing images, music and elements of cultural similarities together to produce an enjoyable multicultural learning experience for students. It is his hope that young people everywhere will continue to find ways to appreciate the similarities and value the differences among us.
