Teaching Tolerance LogoTeaching Tolerance is a national education project of the Southern Poverty Law Center, dedicated to helping teachers foster equity, respect and understanding in the classrooms and beyond. Their materials for teachers are excellent. If you are not already involved with them, this site is a must!

The strongest schools I've visited are generally the ones with the best cptalogo.gif (5897 bytes)team efforts by parents, teachers and administrators working together with the students. But we'd be remiss to our immediate area unless we also provided a direct link to the California PTA which can keep you current on local issues and activities.

Leader Net is a web-based organization designed to connect young people interested in leadership. Many of your students may be interested in learning more about our ongoing essay contest. To date, we have not received many entries, so please encourage your students to write! Chances of winning one of the $500 prizes are quite high!
